  • 1983-1986 Borsista presso l'Istituto Nazionale di Biologia della Selvaggina.
  • 1985 Ricercatore ospite presso l'Istituto di Gestione della Fauna di Monaco di Baviera (Prof. W. Schröeder).
  • 1986-1990 Ricercatore presso l'Istituto Nazionale di Biologia della Selvaggina.
  • 1988-1989-1990 (Feb-Mar) Ricercatore ospite presso il Dipartimento di Zoologia dell'Università di Cambridge (Prof. T.H. Clutton-Brock).
  • 1989 Professore a contratto presso l'Università di Parma. Corso su Sistematica e Biologia degli Artiodattili selvatici.
  • 1990 (Ott-Nov) Partecipante spedizione EV-K2 CNR. Ricerche sull'eco-etologia del goral (Nemorhaedus goral) nella regione dell'Himachal Pradesh, India.
  • 1990-2000 Ricercatore universitario presso il Dipartimento di Scienze del Comportamento Animale e dell'Uomo (ora Dipartimento di Etologia Ecologia Evoluzione) dell'Università di Pisa. Svolge i corsi di Zoologia dei Vertebrati per Scienze Biologiche e Scienze Naturali.
